This position is located on the Northern Region, Region 1, as part of the Fire, Aviation & Air Staff, Fire Suppression Training Unit in Missoula, Montana. This position is established at a Forest Service Regional Office to serve as a program specialist and technical advisor to the Regional Fire Director or Deputy Regional Fire Director for Fire and Aviation Management. The incumbent will be responsible for oversight and management of the training center. The Northern Rockies Training Center is responsible for interagency wildland fire and prescribed fire training, providing training in all incident management and response as well as leadership courses. Primarily the NRTC focuses on 300 & 400 level courses as well as some select 200 level and National level courses. The center hosts a variety of additional training courses and workshops. The Fire Training Specialist is responsible for the development, coordination and delivery of courses at the NRTC.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
