The Research Administration at the University of Montana invites applications for an Innovation & Entrepreneurship Manager to join their team. As the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship at the University of Montana and across the State in collaboration with Accelerate Montana programs. This position requires a passion for driving creative thinking, problem- solving, and entrepreneurial initiatives. The primary focus is on developing and implementing programs to support innovation for AMT I & E programs including Blackstone Launchpad, NSF I-Corps, and the Innovation Factory. Innovation Strategy Development:
Collaborate with leadership & staff to define and align the innovation and entrepreneurship strategy with AMT's overall goals Research industry trends, market needs, and emerging technologies to inform the innovation strategy Program Design and Implementation:
Develop and implement innovation and entrepreneurship programs that engage students, faculty alumni, staff, and community Create and manage innovation workshops, sprints, and other events to stimulate creativity and problem- solving Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Facilitate communication and collaboration among various UM departments and AMT programs to ensure the seamless integration of innovative practices into existing workflows Work closely with different teams to identify areas for improvement and innovation. Facilitate I-Corps travel logistics and documentation Engage as a mentor and regional instructor for NSF I-Corps Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Support:
Identify and establish partnerships with external organizations, MT startups, and accelerators to enhance the entrepreneurial ecosystem Provide venture coaching support and mentorship to entrepreneurs or startups Guide project teams through the implementation process, from concept to execution Metrics and Reporting:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives Regularly present on the progress of I & E programs to stakeholders and management Supervise and assist student personnel:
