Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UM (MOLLI) invites applications for a Media Information Specialist to oversee graphic design, class/event recording production, and website, newsletter and social media management.
This position will be expected to provide general administrative, technical, and financial support for students and instructors while positively representing MOLLI.
Required Skills Effective public relations, interpersonal, and communication skills, including the ability to work with diverse groups of individuals and provide positive courteous professional customer service.
Ability to handle conflicts and difficult situations in a timely and professional manner.
Ability to problem solve and make sound decisions using good judgment, tact, and sensitivity and with proper treatment of confidential and sensitive information.
High capacity to organize, prioritize, and pay attention to detail.
Ability to gather, analyze and interpret financial and statistical data.
Demonstrated knowledge of sound principles and practices of budgeting, financial planning, accounting, and cost control procedures.
Demonstrated experience with event planning.
Expertise in Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, and PowerPoint) Google Docs and Spreadsheets, Adobe Software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Advanced Acrobat), Prezi, Zoom, Webex, and Cascade.
Familiar with third-party registration programs.
Skill in the use of operating basic office equipment; such as copier, scanner, fax machine.
Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures.
Demonstrated skill in business English, spelling, grammar, composition, proofreading and ability to create, compose, and edit complex materials.
Knowledge of advising practices and supervisory practices.
Experience with website development and management software.
Minimum Required ExperienceHigh School diploma and two (2) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of CampusCE.
Knowledge of ShareFile.
Knowledge of Accessibility Compliance.
