The Montana Geriatric Education Center (MTGEC) invites applications for a Budget Analyst III to oversee daily fiscal operations and overall budget expenditures and reconciliations of the MTGEC.
Once trained, this individual will be expected to research, gather and compile information to analyze and produce reports or documents; track information and interpret data to determine the best methods and procedures to conduct departmental business; and assist in developing policies and procedures that ensure compliance with department, University, State, and or Federal policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Specifically, this position will:
Act as the liaison to various campus entities such as Human Resources, Business Services, Payroll, OSP, and other campus departments.
Provide day to day fiscal management of the MTGEC which includes grant, state, and funding from other sources.
Manage budgets of multiple projects and accounts.
Ensure audit compliance with federal, state, and granting agencies.
Monitor and manage individual and overall grant project renewal end dates, requirements, deadlines, dues dates, reporting needs.
Analyze expenditures and issue complex financial reports.
Identify fiscal or budget issues and offer solutions.
Provide feedback to MTGEC team and the University of Montana regarding policies, procedures, and implementation strategies.
Provide support to the Associate Director and Director of MTGEC as requested, including but not limited to human resource processes.

Demonstrates high level of initiative.
Minimum Required ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalency.
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge and experience with University of Montana budget and grant management processes.
