Staff Vacancy AnnouncementInternal Audit invites applications for an Auditor II.
The individual assigned to this position must possess particular knowledge, skills and abilities to meet professional standards.
These include a high level of professionalism, excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
The person assigned to this position will perform the following tasks independently:
Perform financial, compliance and operational audits Thoroughly review documentation supporting audit findings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with the Institute of Internal Auditors' Internal Professional Practices Framework Perform follow-up reviews to ensure that audit recommendations were implemented by the agreed-upon due dates Act as liaison with all external audit agencies, as needed.
Theoretical knowledge or direct experience, and training to develop an extensive knowledge of the work environment of the different entities operating within the University of Montana and its affiliates is required for this position.
Required Skills Exceptional communication skills (including both verbal and written communications) In-depth knowledge of auditing standards with the ability to apply them effectively in a variety of situations Excellent planning and organizational skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Highly developed ability to work productively and cooperatively within a collaborative team setting Strong ability to work efficiently and productively individually Willingness and ability to learn new applications Demonstrates a strong sense of integrity and reliability Highly developed interpersonal communication skills Ability to form highly functional professional relationships with a wide variety of individuals throughout campus Proficient in the use of MS Office Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree or will obtain within six months in accounting, finance, information systems, economics, or other similar business or technology; and demonstrated experience in accounting, auditing, information systems, bookkeeping, finance, business office, or a similar business environment.
