The Montana Campus Compact (MTCC) invites applications for a Program Coordinator II to support its work to support first generation, low-income and minoritized students in higher education.
The role is responsible for recruiting AmeriCorps candidates, running National Service Criminal History Checks, training implementation and program evaluation for the College Coaches AmeriCorps program.
The employee will work as part of a team, with significant responsibility and leadership roles.
MTCC will support AmeriCorps members with its statewide, campus-based College Coaches program.
These 53 (full-year and part-time) members support college completion and capacity building initiatives, lead service projects and recruit volunteers.
Essential tasks of this position include, but aren't limited to:
Lead Roles:
Co-leading a robust candidate recruitment process for AmeriCorps and AmeriCorps VIDTA programs, in conjunction with the VISTA Program Specialist, including:
Leading team meetings.
Holding new applicant intake interviews, reference checks, assignment to service sites, marketing, etc.
Overseeing outreach to regional and national academic programs related to program focus areas.
Writing and submitting service opportunity listings within the Egrants management system, ServiceYear, LinkedIn and other platforms.
Spearheading local, regional and statewide marketing and outreach.
Seeking out and securing new and appropriate avenues for candidate recruitment.
Overseeing AmeriCorps Member Reporting and Compliance, including:
Monitoring and reviewing time log narratives for compliance and hours to ensure members are on track to complete their term of service.
Developing and maintaining Reporting and Data collection processes and procedures.
Ensuring members are trained on how to complete monthly reports.
Evaluating the AmeriCorps program for efficacy and success of the interventions outlined in the AmeriCorps grant.
Overseeing National Service Criminal History checks (NSCHC) in conjunction with Program Manager.
Learning and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the NSCHC procedure.
Conducting compliant criminal history checks for all national service participants and staff.
Ensuring all paperwork and files are maintained in a secure and confidential manner.
Managing all logistical needs for AmeriCorps trainings, including negotiating contracts with vendors/professionals for goods and services.
Support Roles:
Identifying and seeking out new sources of revenue for MTCC's programs.
Evaluating participant and partner experiences and delivery of Compact programs and initiative.
Providing support for general data collection and dissemination.
Contributing to the preparation and publication of MTCC's Annual Report and other publications.
Contributing to the development and updates of AmeriCorps program procedures and forms.
Collaborating with MTCC staff to coordinate statewide events.
Contributing and maintaining AmeriCorps related content on MTCC's website (mtcompact.
org), blog and social media.
Developing AmeriCorps content related to training resources, member service reflections and partnership development for MTCC programs and coordinating publishing to the MTCC website.
Gathering data about Education Award usage.
Providing logistical support for National Days of Service.
Contributing to the expansion of trainings and resources for Site Supervisors.
Contributing to MTCC's diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA) work.
Contributing to the production of two monthly newsletters for the Campus Compact network.
Other office duties, as assigned.
The person assigned to this position will recruit and supervise student employees, including one Work Study student and/or student intern.
This position requires incumbent to develop a working knowledge of the Montana Campus Compact and its national service programming in detail.
This employee will also be skilled at implementing MTCC's recruitment process, and in using the Egrants and my AmeriCorps portal systems and MTCC filing and office processes, and will be able to clearly articulate the MTCC mission and support supervisors, AmeriCorps members and staff from affiliate campuses.
Required Skills Program and/or project leadership and management experience.
Strong organizational skills.
Understanding of adult learning theory, situational leadership, and effective facilitation.
Knowledge of volunteer recruitment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including excellent public speaking skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse populations and stakeholders.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with office hardware (computers, telephones, printers, scanners) and software, including the following Microsoft products:
Word, Excel, Outlook.
Knowledge about Montana culture and communities.
Ability to travel throughout the state (less than 20% travel time).
Ability to work independently and maintain consistent office hours, between 8:
00 AM and 5:
00 PM, Monday through Friday, throughout the calendar year (including summers).
Minimum Required ExperienceHigh School diploma and two (2) years' experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree Professional experience in a nonprofit and/or higher education setting.

Program evaluation experience.
