Description: The Home Support Worker works as a member of a team supporting a youth in their family, group home or other living situation. The Home Support Worker works one on one with the youth in coordination with a treatment plan overseen by the Family Care Program Manager or Treatment Coordinator. The worker primarily provides and meets the standard for -community based psychiatric and rehabilitative services- (CBPRS) or similar services required by contract. Job open until filled.
Nature and Scope of this Position:
-Position is supervised by the Family Care Program Manager.
-Position works closely with Therapists and Treatment Coordinators.
-The roles of the Position are defined in the youth-s individual treatment plan.
Duties: Examples of Tasks:
-Responsibilities are directed by a Treatment Coordinator or Therapist to provide supplemental in-home treatment and support to children and families involved in the Therapeutic Foster Care Program, Home Support Services or a consumer with the Mental Health Center.
-The Home Support Worker provides CBPRS or other similar contracted services.
-Meets all standards of the service.
-Worker ensures that the services provided meet the requirements and required documentation of CBPRS ore other contracted services.
-The Home Support Worker will be required to provide services to the child and family as part of the Treatment Team.
-Interventions will be related to the Treatment Plan, and
-Interventions may take place in the home and/or community.
-The Home Support Worker must maintain a log of all contact with a summary of the activities and progress of the client.
-Provides legal and program documentation as appropriate.
-Maintains a contact log with dated entries for all contact.
-Supervises in-home implementation and utilization of approved relational developmental approaches.
-Provides direct one-to-one contact with the child.
-Assists in the training of families in specific skills, techniques, and interventions required for dealing successfully with a child who experiences emotional disturbance
-Does relationship building with and mentoring of the youth.
-Supervises a child in care.
-Provides crisis intervention.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
-A bachelor-s degree, preferably in social work, psychology, sociology or a related field or experience working with youth.
-Some experience working with youth as a volunteer or paid employee.
-Have an understanding of the child protective, youth court and mental health systems in Montana.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
